Vocational Training
Khelaghar has various vocational training programme in handloom, handicrafts, sewing, computer etc., through which the children get trained in these skills.
Handicraft & Handloom
Daily training programme in handicrafts and handloom is conducted for the rural and needy women as also for the inmates.
Farming
Khelaghar has approximately 20 bighas of cultivatable land, where various crops like jute, paddy, lentil, mustard and green vegetables

Late Maitrayee Devi Writer and Social worker
About The Founder
Maitrayee Devi was the first born of the renowned philosopher Prof. Late Surendra Nath Dasgupta. She was fortunate enough to be counted as a close disciple of Rabindranath Tagore from a very young age. A well-known literary figure of recent time, Maitrayee Devi received national and international award and recognition not only for he literary works but also for her activities for the welfare of society.
Among the many recognitions received by her it would not be out of place to mention a few here like “Padmasree” – a prestigious Govt of India award which she received as a patron of peace. She also was recongnised by Bangladesh Govt for her exemplary work during Bangladesh War in 1971.
